flow method training

What do you want to teach your students?

Unlock the art of purposeful posture instruction in our Yoga Flow Teacher Training. Learn to craft sequences that guide students towards peak postures while fostering a deeper understanding of movement. Discover how to teach not just postures, but essential skills—such as body mechanics, joint isolation, and active range of motion—that empower students to embody their practice beyond the mat. Make challenging poses accessible and create sequences that serve as roadmaps for students to explore movement patterns, expand their range of motion, and master transitions. Immerse yourself in an environment of challenge, exploration, and play, as you cultivate the skills and confidence to lead transformative yoga experiences.

details

This methodological sequencing training is designed to inform teachers how to curate a class based on a theme or peak posture. Lectures include mobility, advanced theming, and effective cueing in a flow. There will also be a focus on understanding the core and teaching handstands and arm balances to help build confidence in these areas. Students will practice sequencing and practice teaching to get feedback on both planning and executing.

This course includes a manual with a layout of our sequencing principles and method, breakdown of 16 postures that we will work through in training and examples of sequences.

We ask anyone enrolling to have completed a minimum of 200hours of yoga training. It will be useful to have some experience teaching yoga so that you’re familiar with basic concepts of anatomy, foundational yoga postures and have practiced your teaching skills. We recommend applicants have a regular flow practice.

Art of Adjustments & Assists - Course Review

“I recently attended The Art of Adjustments & Assists, I absolutely loved this training and the information they both provided. The knowledge and guidance I gained from this workshop enabled me to immediately change my approach. I now feel confident to step off my mat and offer hands on assists and adjustments in all my classes. This training is a game changer!! Highly recommend this training to all yoga teachers who are hesitant to step off the mat to teach.”

Art of Adjustments & Assists - Course Review

“I had the pleasure of taking the Art of Hands-on Adjustments and Assists course through Nook Yoga, it was amazing! The owners Chantel and Anna are so kind and always looking out for the yoga teacher community in Barrie:) As someone who took their YTT online during the pandemic, I felt like I was missing that in-person support and experience. As soon as I started practicing at Nook, and even as I opened my own little studio, I instantly felt this support I was missing. I was so excited to learn they were going to offer Yoga Teacher training through their beautiful studio space. These ladies have so much valuable experience and knowledge to share. It’s obvious how well they truly understand and appreciate all aspects of Yoga and teaching Yoga. They are not gatekeepers and happily want to share their skills and knowledge with whoever is hoping to learn more and grow in their own practice and skills. I thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on adjustments and assists course. It covered all of the aspects I wanted to learn and more. They provided guidance as we covered each pose, demoing what we could do, and how we could creatively give our students additional support and hands-on touch. We had the opportunity to practice with each other and offer feedback as we applied what we had learned. I highly recommend any class, course, or training that Nook offers. Again you won’t be disappointed and will leave feeling empowered and confident in your practice and teaching abilities!”
